Thomas Mamakos

Thomas Mamakos bought the Maple Snack Bar in 1963. From day one, it was a family operation with his wife helping out in the business while their neighbor and friend Ethel McCobb looked after the kids. In 1973, Thomas expanded the building into what you see today. Then in 1995, his sons Dean and Spero took over the business. The transition was smooth because they were actually involved with the business since they were young teenagers. Oh, and what about Ethel McCobb? Well, during the 1973 renovations, the business was renamed to McCobb's in her honor.
